The drawings of Cuban children, brought from Havana in December 2006, were made in an independent school for the youngest children run by an independent librarian. The school is placed in a small flat of the dissident. The children in age of from 5 to 16 are gathered in a tiny room to officially learn English. But in fact they are taught literature, history, geography, but of all, they get to know a discret truth that there is a free world somehwere behind the wall of the system they live in. This drawings were dedicated to the Friends from Poland, what makes this gesture more telling than the artistic value of the handwork.
The drawings are the effects of two contests: Contest for the youngest children "To draw and to love nature that makes us better". It is important to notice the military aspect of the "nature that makes us better."
Four works come from the Contest for the older children "Freedom and captivity".
