Culture

The most export Cuban good, apart from the Revolution, is the culture. The fusion of  the African and the Europan cultures triggered unique excellence noticeable in the music, in the literature, in the movie and in the plastic art. The Cubans are the most musical nation and dance-lovers. Rumba, mambo, cha-cha, salsa enraptures people around the world as much as son touches them. Trova and its later variation  - nueva trova – are the genres treasured outside the island too.

Among the Cuban writers there are many of those who, due to the various reasons - mainly political ones, had to leave the country to freely write without exposing  oneself to censorship and repression. Still, their work has a Cuban character  and is distinguished by an excellent quality.

As far as the film is concerned, the greatest after-revolution achievement in that filed is the international film school in San Antonio de los Baños - the talent factory that has begotten many significant directors of the Latin-American and world movie.

The collection of Museo de Bellas Artes in Havana proves that also the art is an important element of the Cuban culture.
